    Cast's All Change serves as the perfect antidote to the inner rage fueling much American alternative rock -- it would be hard to imagine a more gloriously upbeat backbeat of a guitar pop record, one that appeals to the eternal adolescent in each of us. The group's pedigree derives from good stock, founder John Power having served time with another fine Mersey combo the La's.8/

    A deluxe edition of All Change was released on 25 October that year, to tie in with the re-union and 15th anniversary of the album, containing the original album re-mastered plus b-sides, outtakes, demos and live recordings. On 6 November, John Power appeared on British TV show Soccer AM, and stated that Cast would be starting work on a new Genres: Britpop, alternative rock, indie rock.

    Oct 20,  · Of their seven albums this is my favorite. Notorious for having more bad shows than good, because of being too drunk to play, when they did play live it was told to be amazing. They seemed to play well enough in the studio. Pleased to Meet Me only selling less than , copies is their more mainstream album than Tim or Let It Be/5(12).

    referencing Pleased To Meet Me, LP, Album, RE, Tra, RCV1 This pressing sounds great! I was a bit leery since rhino start your ear off pressings have been hit or miss, this one is worth it!

    English rock band formed in Liverpoolin by John Power and Peter Wilkinson out of the ashes and frustration of Lee Mavers continuing delays with The La's. They released 4 albums (their debut a UK number 1) between 19through the Britpop era before splitting, citing unnecessary press intrusion and artistic pressure.

    The dust hadn't settled when the 'Mats headed down to Memphis to record Pleased to Meet Me with producer Jim Dickinson at Ardent Studios -- or to phrase it in Alex Chilton-speak, to record with Big Star's 3rd producer at the studio where all three Big Star albums were made. All this fanboy worship perhaps naturally led to a full-blown mash note.
